MOR-UKES

Welcome
Mor-Ukes are a ukulele band of 22
members (and one guide dog in training). We began as a group
in the
village
of Middleton-One-Row overlooking the River Tees. We are now
based at the Wilson Centre, Long Newton, Co. Durham. Established in
2015.
We
play a vast array of songs from the 1920's up to the present day with
all sizes of Ukulele - soprano, concert, tenor, baritone, bass and
also tinkuleles.
With
drums / cajon and occasional Saxaphones, Trumpet, clarinet,
harmonicas, glockenspiel
and squeeze box.

cancer UK: research, support, care. Because it’s time to beat
leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and all types of blood cancer.

Our Chosen charity for 2023 was:- "The Russ Devereux Headlight Project"
Founded
in memory of Russ Devereux, the Headlight Project aims to
reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley
area through therapy of those bereaved by suicide and
preventative education and training.
