About Us
Established 9th February 2015
Founded on 9th February 2015, originally at Middleton-One-Row with a Musical Director/Teacher/Mentor, Lol Crallan, we have gone from strength to strength, from our first nervous meeting, to what is now one of the friendliest ukulele groups in the area.
We are a 24 strong group.
From that
first meeting we have come on in leaps and bounds and now play a
variety of music from the 1920’s up to the present day including
instrumental numbers.
The group has 24 ukulele players,
including a Drummer/Cajon player,
A Bass player, occasionally a mandolin, and hand made
tinkuleles. Clarinet, Saxaphone, Trumpets, 2 harmonica players,
glockenspiel and 0ccasionally Kazoos.
All our concerts are for charity,
sponsoring a different charity each year.
We now rehearse in Long Newton at the wonderful Wilson Centre.
